The all-women art collective Few and Far I belong to recently was in an article dissecting sexism in street art. For those who aren’t familiar, my art alter ego has been for years painting murals, challenging social norms through imagery, teaching and lecturing on art, Hip Hop, graffiti and urban lifestyle.

Work like this fulfills me; it makes me feel I’m doing my part to change the world into a better place. From my lectures in schools to murals and public outreach with programing like Ladies Night at Art Primo I really feel my voice as an artist is heard, listened to and encourages ladies everywhere to pick up a paintbrush, spray can, skate or snowboard. I hope that by leading by example I am propelling ladies past the boundaries other people try to inhibit them by.
