This morning I’d like to share the inspiration for my Germbot character; The mischievous, quirky grin, the round hug-able shape, the curiosity, and uncanny ability to put smiles on others faces was inspired by my friend Jermaine pictured here. My prayers and love go out to his beautiful family for their loss.

My appreciation for the time he was in my life to inspire something that’s so much of my artistic identity is incalculable and I’m unsure I will ever be able to express the sense of loss I feel. I hope with time we’ll be comforted knowing when I paint Germbots I put into the world a way he’ll be immortalized. He was so proud of this character even if it was made in a moment of hilarious frustration. Jermaine always expressed pride and support in my endeavors. Thank you Jermaine for your friendship, thank you.
