Sex Ed teaches youth protection against STD’s and early pregnancy. Abstinence is taught in place and for many youth, it’s unrealistic. Body shaming is also associated with sex ed creating a stigma around self awareness. How our bodies reproduce isn’t Gross! If you can get pregnant, it’s your right to have access to birth control! Thankful WA hosts FLASH sex ed and at 13, youth take the reigns of their mental, physical, and reproductive rights.
