Looking Out Into the Sky Mural

This mural is for a friend of the family who's opening her own childcare center in Rainier Valley. The new business owner wanted a mural for their central room as a fun showpiece for parents and children alike.

Originally she envisioned a colorful tree centered in the wall. While I loved this idea we talked about branching out and really taking over the space. I also really just wanted to push myself to try something new.

This was one of those rare jobs where the client already loved my work & just trusted me to paint what I wanted. I truly appreciate her support, positive feedback, & especially HER TRUST! This is how artists grow & develop their style. This was more than just a mural, it was a little bit of an experiment, a bit of playfulness, & a whole lot of imagination!
