Elysian Dust Fest Live Painting

One of my favorite Seattle breweries, known for its iconic Space Dust beer, recently threw an epic event featuring live performances, food trucks, and special guests. I was thrilled to be invited to live paint for the occasion! The theme? Their newly launched sparkling water, Odd Water, which centers around the idea of the "black sheep" of the family.

I sketched out a playful sheep nestled in leaves and presented them with three colorways to choose from: Groovy, Cosmic, and Little Lamb. While all three were a hit, they ended up merging Cosmic with Little Lamb, resulting in the birth of The Cosmic Lamb.

The Cosmic Lamb sees ALL!

Since I was already working on a mural for Meals on Wheels just down the street, it was an easy commute to the brewery on Airport Way in Georgetown. I prepped the wall the night before and kicked off the painting at the event, grooving to the sounds of DJ Supreme (one of my all-time favorites). Painting live is always a blast—I love when people watch, ask questions, and get curious about the process. Even with my respirator on, I try to acknowledge compliments with a wave or a grateful nod.

Taking a break to soak in the summer night, I grabbed a hot dog and enjoyed the vibe. There’s something magical about creating art in the city I love. Seattle has given me the opportunity to live my dream, not just as a passion but as a livelihood, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

Although I didn’t finish the piece that night (perfectionism, right?), I returned to the tap house later for some final touch-ups. The setting was perfect—right by the train tracks, with an industrial backdrop that made Georgetown’s charm shine. Plus, with nearby spots like Jellyfish and Georgetown Brewery, a beer walk is always an option!

This was an amazing client to work with—they really embraced my creative freedom. Live painting is such a unique addition to events, and I love being part of it. If you ever want to bring a splash of color to your event, keep me in mind!
